The Post centenary Golden Jubilee Celebrations

The Post centenary Golden Jubilee Celebrations began on 1 March,2006, having Mrs.Meenakshi Rajagopal,IAS, the Special Secretary, Higher Education as Chief Guest.

Dr.K.Kumarasamy, The Director of Collegiate Education Prof.C.Giri Ranganathan   &  Dr.Lalitha Govindan, Joint Directors  attended the function. The National Emblem was opened by the Director of Collegiate Education.

  In view of the 150th year, it has been planned to conduct seminars, symposium and conferences, inviting delegates from all over India.

It has been contemplated to have National Interest oriented curriculum with Regimental practices from 2006-2007.

A proposal has been submitted to the UGC for a Jubilee Grant of 200 lakhs to achieve the vision and mission.

A new Educational Technology Lab, Psychology lab, Multimedia Studio and Language Lab will be built and equipped with this fund. It has been proposed to build a three floor building, with a Seminar hall, Conference hall and a Reading room.

 A herbal garden has come up in view of the Post Centenary Golden Jubilee Celebrations. A new common hall has been arranged in the staff room-building. Garden and Conference hall were declared open by the Respected Mr.K.S Sripathy. IAS, Secretary & Commissioner for Higher Education.
